Marriage Licenses

How do I obtain a marriage license?

Marriage licenses are issued through the Town Clerk's office by appointment only.

Upon application completion, call our office at 203-775-7313 to schedule an appoinment. 

Both parties must  appear in person in the Town Clerk's office. For ease of scheduling, each party may make a separate appointment. Please bring in your current government issued identification, such as a driver's license or a passport, along with payment. The cost is $50.00 for the license, and $20.00 for the certified copy (cash or check only).

If you are under 16 years of age, consent is needed from the Judge of Probate.

If you are under 18, parental or guardian consent is needed.
