Executive Order 7S COVID 19 Tax Relief
The Board of Selectmen approved at the  April 20, 2020  meeting to participate in the Deferment Program.  This program will help taxpayers that have been financially hurt by the pandemic.  Taxpayers who qualify will  have an additional 60 days to pay the July 2020 installment. Under normal circumstances taxes are due July 1st and must be paid by August 1st.  Qualified applicants would have until October 1st to pay their tax bill without an interest penalty.  We are working on the final details so please refer back to the website for additional information. 
 
 
 

Tax Payments

Bills can be viewed online. Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card.  Payments can be made on-line or by phone at 1-877-271-5230. Please note there are additional fees for the on-line and phone services. Also note all credit card transactions have fees.   We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover.

Taxes can be addressed to Tax Collector, PO Box 508, Brookfield, CT 06804.  If you would like a receipt, please provide a self addressed stamped envelope.  Tax payments can also be made at Town Hall, 100 Pocono Rd, Brookfield, CT. Please make your check payable to Tax Collector- Town of Brookfield.

The Tax Office hours are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8am to 4pm.  Thursday hours are 8am to 6pm.  

Collection Agency

Delinquent motor vehicles from the 2015 Grand List and older have been sent to Tax Serv our Collection Agency .  Please make your payments to them or call them with any questions at 1-866-497-2427.  

 

Motor Vehicles No Longer Owned

If you have received a Motor Vehicle bill with a motor vehicle you no longer own, please contact the Assesor's Office to find out what you need to do to remove the bill or have it pro-rated for the correct time period.  You can call the Assessor's Office at 203-775-7302 or email at assessor@brookfieldct.gov
