Demand Notices have been sent to
delinquent real estate owners.
All delinquent motor vehicles for the 2016 Grand List will be sent to the Collection agency in April. Avoid additional fees by paying your car taxes now.
Bills can be viewed online. Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card. Payments can be made on-line or by phone at 1-877-271-5230. Please note there are additional fees for the on-line and phone services. Also note all credit card transactions have fees. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover.
Taxes can be addressed to Tax Collector, PO Box 508, Brookfield, CT 06804. If you would like a receipt, please provide a self addressed stamped envelope. Tax payments can also be made at Town Hall, 100 Pocono Rd, Brookfield, CT. Please make your check payable to Tax Collector- Town of Brookfield.
Taxes are considered ontime with a US postal postmark of February 3, 2020. Taxes not paid will become delinquent and interest will be charged from the due date. Please refer to the legal notice for additional information.
The Tax Office hours are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8am to 4pm. Thursday hours are 8am to 6pm.
Delinquent motor vehicles from the 2015 Grand List and older have been sent to Tax Serv our Collection Agency . Please make your payments to them or call them with any questions at 1-866-497-2427.
Delinquent personal property bills have been referred to the Marshal for collection.
Personal Property Accounts with State Marshal
Demand notices have been sent out to delinquent personal property accounts. The State Marshal will be out for collection enforcement.
Motor Vehicles No Longer Owned
If you have received a Motor Vehicle bill with a motor vehicle you no longer own, please contact the Assesor's Office to find out what you need to do to remove the bill or have it pro-rated for the correct time period. You can call the Assessor's Office at 203-775-7302 or email at email@example.com
