1. A-2 Survey

An A-2 survey is a survey map/plan that is prepared by a licensed surveyor who attests that the conditions appearing on the survey show the conditions on the site as built up to the date of the map. An A-2 survey is commonly required as part of the final approval process for new cosntruction and for any type of construction for which a variance has been granted by the Zoning Board of Appeals. A final A-2 survey is also required if any type of construction planned is within ten percent of the minimum setbacks of the pertinent zone. Dependent upon the type of permit, there may also be other cases where a final A-2 survey is required by a commission and/or department.
