Notice to Brookfield Families, Faculty and Residents - RE: March 12th Bomb Threat

Brookfield Town Seal

Dear Families, Faculty and Residents

This afternoon the town clerk's office received a new threat stating that bombs were placed at various school locations last night in Brookfield and Danbury. The Brookfield schools included Brookfield High School, Huckleberry Hill and Center School and a shopping center in Danbury along with several of the Danbury schools. The police have informed us that these types of threats are widespread and being sent to numerous entities.

Please know that as a part of the ongoing precautionary vigilance our School Resources Officers conducted interior and exterior campus walk throughs and reviewed surveillance video for each school before school today.

At this point in time, our police department believes that these threats are not credible.

The Brookfield Public Schools, the Town and the Brookfield Police Department continue to work collaboratively for the safety and well being of all in our community.

School will continue as normal and Town Hall remains open.

Sincerely,

Dr. John W. Barile, Superintendent
First Selectman, Steve Dunn
Chief of Police,  John Puglisi
