Donations for Families affected by the fire:

• We are recommending all donations of clothing and shoes go to Savers. They have opened their door to the families to come and get whatever they need at no cost to the families.
• We are recommending that people who want to make financial donations purchase gift cards and take them to either the Congregational Church or St Joe’s. We will coordinate distribution with them next week.
• Twins BBQ may be holding a large event this weekend. We have spoken with them and made similar suggestions. They may also be doing specific donations for families for whom they have a list.
• The town does not have the capacity to store and maintain donations of clothing, toiletries, etc. at this time.

Housing :

All Fire victims have been housed in local hotels or with families. The Red Cross has been very helpful in arranging to settle the families. As time moves forward, we are told that all the residents all have insurance which will help them relocate temporarily and provide the resources to start rebuilding their lives. The town will continue to support all as needed and we will continue to coordinate with the Red Cross, local churches and other agencies.
