What happens at the meeting?

At the meeting, the Commission accepts the application. The Commission members may have questions regarding the proposed work, so the applicant may wish to be present at the meeting to respond or explain the proposal. The Commissioners may wish to see the property and may ask for the corners of the proposed structures to be staked for their inspection of the site.

The Commission may not approve an application until fourteen days from the date of acceptance of the application. In some cases where a potentially significant impact is perceived by the Commission or the public, a public hearing may be scheduled to allow for a more in-depth review. Please note that individual Commission members cannot discuss the merits of your application during the review process.
