What are permit costs?

The state charges a one-time application fee of $60.00. Permit fees vary and a fee schedule is available in the Wetlands office. For example, work within the upland review area (200’ from Candlewood Lake, Lake Lillinonah or the Still River, 100’ from any other watercourse or 75’ from a wetland) for a single family residence requires a fee of $150.00. Extensive commercial applications proposing crossings for watercourses can run into thousands of dollars.
