SOCIAL DISTANCING IS EVERY RESIDENTS RESPONSIBILITY

Given the rapid rate on increase in the number of cases reported in Brookfield, it is critical that we all stay home as much as possible, go out only for absolutely necessary trips and this applies to our children as well as adults. This problem is a community problem and every member of the community, regardless of age, must isolate at home. That is the only way we can slow and then defeat this virus.

UPCOMING BOARD MEETINGS

We held our first virtual Board of Selectmen meeting last night with public participation and public comment. For the future we will continue to hold virtual public meetings and you will be able to find the details on how to join them on the town website. You can join via computer, telephone or both. The details on how to join a meeting are now posted on the meeting agendas which are posted at least 24 hours before the meeting. We have not changed our policy on asking all boards to only hold meeting that are necessary to conduct town business.

We are asking boards that when they do start to hold meetings, they do so virtually and we will be sending the board chairs the details on how to set these meetings up.

ACCESS TO TOWN HALL RESOURCES

We are establishing a dedicated general telephone line and email addresses for those who do not know who they specifically  wish to speak to in town hall with any concerns or issues you may have. If you have questions about the Coronavirus, we recommend that you call 211 or contact the State at ct.gov/coronavirus. Until we have these up and running, please send all inquiries by email to First Selectman Steve Dunn’s office at sdunn@brookfieldct.gov or call 203 775 3700 to leave a message.
