The Brookfield Arts Commission will present the Second Annual Brookfield Film Festival – Shorts and to the Point” March 27th at the Brookfield Theatre for the Arts. The program will include 10 /short films that have been nominated for and/or received an award from an industry competition. There will be two showings: 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Admission is $10 and refreshments will be served during intermission. The program is not rated and is intended for an adult audience.
In addition to the film presentation, the festival will include a 2 day workshop on digital/video production. Dr. J.C. Barone of Western Connecticut State University will teach this very interactive and hands-on workshop on the university’s campus on Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21 from noon until 7 pm. The workshop is op students in to students in their junior year of high school or beyond and adults are welcome. The workshop will cover the fundamentals of production; no experience is necessary. A $25 registration fee will be charged which includes dinner and a Brookfield Film Festival t-shirt.
