The legal voters of the Town of Brookfield and those entitled to vote therein, are hereby warned and notified that a referendum will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M., to vote on the following question:
"Shall the Town of
Brookfield, subject to and contingent upon receipt by the Town of a matching
grant from the State of Connecticut in an amount at least equal to $186,000,
appropriate $372,000 to fund the costs of completion and restoration of the
farmhouse located at the Gurski Homestead Property and authorize general
obligation bonds or notes and temporary notes of the Town in an amount not to
exceed
$186,000 to finance the
portion of the appropriation not financed by
said matching grant?"
( ) YES ( ) NO
District 1 voters
shall vote at Huckleberry Hill School
District 2 voters
shall vote at The Brookfield High School
Property owners, 18 years of age and a United States Citizen, with an assessment of not less than $1,000.00, pursuant to the property tax assessment provisions of Section 7-6 of the Connecticut General Statutes, whose property falls within the boundaries of District 1, shall vote at Huckleberry Hill School. Property owners, whose property falls within the boundaries of District 2, shall vote at Brookfield High School.
Voting machines shall be used.
Absentee Ballots will be counted at the Brookfield Town Hall.
