Republican Town Committee Primary
March 1, 2016
On Tuesday, February 16 from 5PM – 7PM a registration session will be held in the Registrar of Voters office in Town Hall, 100 Pocono Road, for electors entitled to vote in the March 1, 2016 Republican Town Committee Primary. Other electors may also register at that time. Requests will be heard for adding names to the registry list by persons removed.
Please note: you must be a registered Republican to vote in this primary. Unaffiliated voters cannot vote in primaries in the State of CT.
To be eligible to vote in the March 1, 2016 primary mail-in registration forms of new Republican voters must be postmarked by Thursday, February 25,2016
However, mail-in registration forms of unaffiliated voters changing to the
Republican Party must be received by the registrar of voters by Thursday, February 25, 2016..
Both new voters and unaffiliated voters changing to the Republican Party may register in person with the registrar of voters or town clerk until the deadline of 12:00 noon on Monday, February 29, 2016.
The deadline for those wishing to change from one party to another in order to vote in the March 1, 2016 primary was December 1, 2015..~ Per Connecticut state statute, there is a three month wait for party privileges to take effect when changing parties.
Absentee ballots will be available from the Town Clerk on February 9, 2016
The polls will be open on March 1, 2016 from 6AM to 8PM.
