Brookfield Municipal Center
The Brookfield Municipal Center is located on 100 Pocono Road.
It is situated on 4.5 acres and offers the following facilities: Bocce, Fitness Trail, Hiking Trails in Linear Park, Little League Field, Picnic Tables, Creative Playground, Restrooms, Soccer Fields, Softball and plenty of parking.

Bandstand

The Brookfield Bandstand is located on 100 Pocono Rd.

This venue is home to the annual "Concerts in the Park" series that is held on Friday evenings through the summer months.

This facility is also available to Town residents for special events.

Cadigan Park

catigan.jpgCadigan Park is located on 500 Candlewood Lake Road and is situated on 14 acres offering baseball, football, soccer, and lacrosse fields.   It includes a sand volleyball court & tennis courts, as well as plenty of parking and restrooms.

Cadigan Park also offers a covered pavilion in which picnic tables and barbeque grills are located.

The Cadigan Pavilion can be rented to both residents and non-residents under the following fees and conditions:

Resident Business/Organization
$150.00/Day
Non-Resident Business/Organization
$250.00/Day
Resident Non-Profit Organization
$125.00/Day
Non-Resident Non-Profit Organization

The above fees are for the period of Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The off-season rates (the period before Memorial Day and after Labor Day) will be half price.

A $50.00 deposit is required for all reservations.  This deposit is retained by the
Brookfield Parks & Recreation office and will be used to cover any damage costs.  If the site is left in good condition, the deposit will be returned to the reserving party.

Rules for Use of Cadigan Pavilion

1.  Reservation of the pavilion will be limited to groups of no more than 50.
2.  Reservation will include the use of the bathrooms.  Use of the Town Beach is included during the beach season.
3.  Reservation will include use of athletic fields according to availability.
4.  Reservation can be made up to 6 months in advance for residents, and up to three months in advance for non-residents.

If you are interested in reserving the Cadigan Pavilion you must complete the Cadigan Pavilion Use Form and send it in to the Brookfield Parks & Recreation office along with the appropriate payment and deposit.

Grays Bridge Field

Grays Bridge field is located on 7 Old Grays Bridge Road.

This site features a Little League field that is used by the Brookfield Baseball Association.

Gursky Open Space



The Gursky Open Space is located on 67 Obtuse Hill Road.

The park is located on 81 acres and offers hiking trails. You can access Williams Park from the Gursky Open Space.

The Gursky property is a favorite spot for local bird watchers.

Arthur Harris Linear Park


Arthur Harris Linear Park is located at 100 Pocono Road.
It is situated on 139 acres of wooded land. Access to the park is beyond the soccer field to the left of the Brookfield Municipal Center.

Linear Park consists of  two hiking trails.  There are two loops within the park, Loop A is approximately 2.5 miles and Loop B is approximately 1 mile.  Future expansion is in the agenda for this park.

There is a gazebo located a short distance from the entrance.  The Still River runs through this park.

Whalen Pond
Whalen Pond is located on 3 Broadview Road and is situated on 2.9 acres.

During the winter months ice skating is available when the "Skating" sign is posted.

Lillinonah Woods

Lillinonah Woods is located on 54 Obutse Rocks Road.  It is situated on 68 acres of land and connects to Lake Lillinonah.

This park offers fishing (by permit), hiking trails, picnic tables and parking.

Old Bridge Sanctuary


The Old Bridge Sanctuary is located on 57 Old Bridge Road.

It is situated on 25 acres and offers hiking trails and parking.

Williams Park

Williams Park is located on 185 Whisconier Road.  It is situated on 20 acres and offers fishing, hiking trails, picnic tables and parking.

Tennis is also available to Brookfield residents, by permit only, on two HarTru clay tennis courts. Season passes may be purchased at the Parks & Recreation office.
