Duties & Responsibilities
The Board of Education is responsible for hiring and supervising the Superintendent of Schools, creating school district policies, approving and guiding curriculum and creating an annual budget proposal to run the day-to-day operations of the Town's schools. The Board members are elected to full terms of four years and/or half terms of two years. Vacancies that occur between election cycles are filled by the standing BOE members.
