TIME TO GET BACK TO YOUR ROOTS—veggies & flowers, that is.
The Brookfield Lions have established a Community Garden for Brookfield Residents at the Gurski Farm site on RT 133. They have plowed, cultivated and marked out 35 plots of land ready for Spring planting of vegetables and/or flowers. Applications for these plots can be downloaded after December 15,2008 right under of this page, The Brookfield Lions web site (www.brookfieldctlions.org) or obtained at the Park & Rec office in Town Hall.
All applications with a check for $20 made payable to Brookfield Lions Community Garden must be submitted to the Park & Rec office no later than Thursday January 15, 2009. The plots will be awarded to Brookfield residents on a first come—first serve basis, depending on the date & time the application was submitted. For further information please contact:
